Now on view in the Small Space at Transmission Gallery, recent intaglio prints by Dana Zed.

Whimsical bird imagery and exuberant patterning come together with a sharp sense of humor in Zed’s new etchings reflecting on common social situations; competition, exclusion, conflicts and hope with titles like “There’s Always Someone on the Other Side,” “Dancing on Eggshells,” and “Over the Rainbow.”

More about Dana Zed
Dana Zed is a visual artist who works in many media. She has exhibited glass sculpture, intaglio etchings, and paintings (both digital and traditional) nationally. Her work can be found in many public and private collections including the Oakland Museum of California, The Corning Museum of Glass in NY,  The Takoma Museum in Washington, and The de Young Museum in San Francisco, and the City of Berkeley  among others.

Born near Washington DC,  Zed received a BFA from Brown University. She has received awards and grants and been published internationally. She has given workshops in numerous places including California College of Art, Pixar, Esalen Institute and more.
