Stop in April 13 - May 27th to see Game Room, the featured solo exhibition of assemblage works by Eric Lendl at Transmission Gallery Oakland. 

Big game? Three trophy pieces, sporting stereotypically male-associated objects, command the room, overseeing board game haikus. 

A resurgence of game nights with actual cards and board games acts as an antidote to the plethora of online gaming and headset relationships. Still, the games we've played over the years have a lot to say about capitalism, conscience, and competition! Placed just so, Lendl's game combinations reveal the unnerving underpinnings of so much family fun while nostalgia and curiosity leaven the social commentary.

More about Eric Lendl

b. Oakland, CA; lives and works in Marin
I am a forager of imagery and objects. Through collage, sculpture, and video, I reimagine discarded materials in new contexts to explore past, present, and future ways of understanding our shared human experience.
As an arts professional, I have dedicated my career to championing artists and the arts community. Past roles include Senior Exhibition Coordinator at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, Director of Operations at John Berggruen Gallery, and Director of Art Services at Minnesota Street Project in San Francisco.
